ELIZABETH PALIGA
Elizabeth was first introduced to yoga as a child as a cross-training technique for equestrian vaulting, a sport that combines the poses of yoga and gymnastics with the artistry of dance, all on top of a horse. But her current yoga practice really began during a search for chronic pain management for injuries sustained competing in equestrian vaulting. She stayed for more than just the healing of asana but because she began to feel the benefits of a deeper mindfulness practice and the joy of being part of a supportive yoga community. Elizabeth completed her 200-RYT certificate at Coolidge Yoga (now Boston Yoga Union) and strives to blend meditation, pranayama, and movement into a practice that remains accessible to all students while honing proprioception and breaking habits, and encourages students to leave the studio feeling both settled in their mind and empowered in their body.
