Kenna Jones-Shanks

Kenna came to the yoga mat nearly a decade ago and after years of being a student decided to deepen her practice by becoming an instructor in 2020. Kenna's classes range from steady Hatha flows to invigorating, heat building Vinyasas. Each class she teaches is grounded in intention and aims to harmonize both the body & mind. Students coming to a class with Kenna can expect modifications to be offered for all levels, with acknowledgement that every body is unique and must be respected. As someone who spent years feeling disconnected from her body, Kenna is passionate about enabling students to feel at home in their own skin and unbound from limitation. Kenna recently obtained her Masters in Social Work, and brings the same empathy and strength-based perspective essential to Social Work to her students on their mats. It is with privilege and respect that she acknowledges her gratitude for the practice of yoga and its sacred roots in India.
