Lara Wellis

Lara has been practicing yoga for as long as she can remember. Her introduction to the practice came from her Indian grandmother, who has been a yoga instructor for 30+ years. Her grandmother instilled in her a profound appreciation for both the physical practice and the spirituality inherent within it. Yoga has brought strength and serenity to her life; it has helped her manage stress, successfully recover from two knee surgeries, and connect deeper with her Indian culture.

She obtained her 200-hour YTT certification in hopes of sharing her love of yoga with others. In her teaching, she focuses on creating an enjoyable flow that encourages her students to grow physically and mentally resilient and relaxed.

She is also a medical student and is passionate about studying how integrating Eastern health approaches, such as yoga, into Western medical practices could enhance patient outcomes.
