Nisha Rao

Nisha began practicing yoga very young and grew up watching her parents practice yoga and pranayama. She learned that showing up for yourself is a practice—one that can be cultivated throughout your life. She uses the tools she cultivates on the mat to deal with everything that comes off the mat and hopes to teach her students the same lessons.

Nisha completed her 200-hour training in 2024 at Back Bay Yoga Union under the guidance of Tim Kelleher, Emily Jonas, Caitlyn Visconte, Sandy Klemmer, and Erica Bornstein. Her teaching style is vinyasa, with a focus on alignment and breathwork. She is fascinated by the body’s ability to endure hardship, on and off the mat.

Outside the studio, Nisha works in market research. She loves running, knitting, and reading.
